"Soft Light"

A watercolor piece experimenting with a new style. This was the first piece where I reconciled myself with watercolor, previously my least favorite medium.
A work in progress. Working with horses through the years has taught me how powerful, wild, and wise these creatures are. I wanted to capture the grandeur nature of the horse in this piece. I hope through the sheer amount of time I have spent on this massive drawing, a viewer can feel the devotion I have to the Horse.

"Dead and Alive"

"Farmer's Market"

A sketchbook project I did a year ago. 24"x 36"

"Hungry Hawk"

While doing a photo shoot with a friend, this huge hawk swooped down behind us to grab some breakfast. Can you spot the snake? This was definitely a "right place, right time" sort of moment.

"Upsy Downsy"

"Sky on Fire"

"Colorado"

Brisk and early morning over the neighborhood. It does pay to wake up at six....

Watercolor painting with attention to color. The composition wasn't very successful in this piece, so I will most likely do a part two of this artwork.

A watercolor I did after spending days watching the clouds. I believe deeply in watching the world unfold around you; it gives you a greater appreciation of the truly magical lives we all lead.

"Izzy at Dawn"

Last winter, I loved to wake up and take sunrise photos of my gorgeous and goofy dog, Izzy. She has an energetic and playful personality and I wanted to depict her in the loving light I see her in. These two photos captured two very different sides of her, and I hope you can see just how happy she is!
